Our public demo server runs eMondrian with sample data. Point Excel, Power BI, or an AI agent at it. Nothing to install on the server side.

Choose your tool
- In Excel: Data → Get Data → From Database → From Analysis Services.
- Server name:
https://demo.emondrian.com/xmla - Select a cube (for example, Sales from FoodMart) and click Finish.
- Build a PivotTable: drag Unit Sales to Values and Product Family to Rows.
Or try MDX directly in the Web OLAP client:

- In Power BI Desktop: Get data → Analysis Services.

Power BI connects to eMondrian through the Analysis Services connector. Microsoft does not officially support this for third-party servers. See what to expect.
MCP is not yet available on the public demo. You can run it locally: install Community,
activate an evaluation key, and connect your MCP client to
http://localhost/emondrian/mcp/sse.

What's on it
- FoodMart: the classic Mondrian retail sample (sales, inventory, and HR).
- OnTime: US flight data on ClickHouse.
- DAX module enabled, so you can try Power BI.
Keep in mind
- It's a shared public server: performance is not representative.
- Data is read-only and reset regularly.
- Don't send confidential data or queries.
