We're a small team. Here's what that means for you.
eMondrian is developed by BIS. We would rather set expectations clearly than promise what we cannot deliver.
Support hours
Monday to Friday, business hours (UTC+4). No 24/7 on-call.
- check_circle Community: GitHub issues, no guaranteed response time.
- check_circle Commercial: email, reply within 2 business days.
- check_circle Enterprise: critical issues answered within 1 business day.
DAX compatibility is not 100%
Power BI generates a wide range of DAX. We support a growing subset of it.
That's why we recommend testing your own reports during the evaluation, and sending us queries that fail.
Microsoft support status
Power BI and Excel connect to eMondrian through the Analysis Services connector. Microsoft officially supports only a few third-party semantic models, and eMondrian is not one of them.
In practice: it works, we test each Power BI release, and we fix regressions. But Microsoft support won't help with this setup, and we can't prevent Microsoft from changing behavior.
Roadmap
Requests from paying customers get priority. We don't promise delivery dates to non-customers. Feature requests and bugs go to GitHub issues.
Continuity
The core engine is open source under EPL-1.0. Whatever happens to us, you keep the code you run.
What we don't do
- No 24/7 support or uptime SLA for your infrastructure.
- No compliance certifications (SOC 2, HIPAA): eMondrian runs in your environment under your controls.
- No hosted multi-tenant service.
What we're good at
Mondrian, deeply
We maintain eMondrian, our own Mondrian-based engine, and know it from the inside.
Direct access to engineers
No support tiers or account managers in between. You talk to the people who write the code.
Fast fixes
A small team means short paths: a reproducible bug from a customer can be fixed in the next release.
