The core engine and Excel never need a key. A key is only needed for the commercial modules, and it is free for 30 days of evaluation.

Request a free evaluation key

  • check_circle When it expires, only the modules stop; Excel and MDX keep working.

We use your email only to send the key. No marketing lists.

Activate the key on your server

  1. Open your eMondrian server main page: http://<your-server>/
  2. Paste the key into License Activation.
  3. Click Activate License. The server contacts our licensing service once and activates the modules.

  1. Enter your key below and download the license file.
  2. Open your eMondrian server main page.
  3. Under No Internet Access? click Upload License File.

Extend your evaluation

A real proof of concept often takes longer than 30 days, especially when procurement is involved. Tell us briefly about your project and we will send a new key.

If you like, we can also do a 15-minute call: we will look at the DAX queries that don't work yet and tell you honestly whether eMondrian fits your case.

Does the server need permanent internet access? expand_more

No. Online activation contacts our licensing service once. Offline servers use a license file.

What exactly stops when the key expires? expand_more

DAX (Power BI) and MCP (AI agent) requests stop working. Excel, MDX, and everything else keep working.

Can I use the evaluation key on several servers? expand_more

One key per server. Request another key for a second environment, or tell us about your setup in the extension form.

Can I use the evaluation key in production? expand_more

The evaluation key is meant for testing and proofs of concept. For production use of the modules, get a commercial license.
